First, Watts Up With That reported that the popular Google search term “global warming” had been passed by “Climategate” in the total number of search results.  Next, GORE LIED  reported that as the number of search results had continued to climb, “Climategate” had even passed former Vice President and man-made global warming huckster Al Gore in search results.  Today, as the “Climategate” tsunami grows ever larger on the blogosphere, and the Internet in general, the Google search term “Climategate” has even left “Barack Obama” in its dust:

Google_BarackObama

Is there anything search term even larger than “Barack Obama” that “Climategate” has to conquer? Yes, but I wouldn’t bet any money on it:

Meantime, Watts Up With That has found something fishy about a related matter with Climategate search.

Good news for AGW skeptics: DeSmog blog says Google blog search results for the terms "GLOBAL WARMING" + LIE have doubled in the past year

By Editor DeSmog blog, Google Comments Off on Good news for AGW skeptics: DeSmog blog says Google blog search results for the terms "GLOBAL WARMING" + LIE have doubled in the past year

Lots of hand-wringing going on at DeSmog blog as they call it “A troubling trend in Global Warming Denial on the internet“, and go on to say:

Our 2008 analysis of global warming misinformation finds that there was a very significant upswing in online activity.
This trend should be troubling to US policymakers and campaigners wanting to implement new greenhouse gas reduction strategies.

Here’s some numbers from DeSmog blog:

“Global Warming” + lie
A Google blog search for the term “global warming” + lie between January 1, 2008 and January 1, 2009 reports 100,770 page results. The same search for the previous year reports only 50,016 page results.

DeSmog provides more results for searches such as “global warming” + hoax, and others – all with basically the same result.

Speaking of Google search terms, one of my guilty pleasures is checking my FEEDJIT gadget at the bottom of this page. FEEDJIT will tell me not who, but where my most recent visitors are, and what site they came from. If the visitor came from Google, it will even show what their search terms were. Often the search terms make me chuckle, and validate the existance of this blog. For example, right now on FEEDJIT reports that I just had one visitor from Arlington Heights, Illinois who fiund GORE LIED via Google search terms al gore on latest cold weather. And seven minutes before that there was another visitor from Glen Ellyn, Illinois that used the Google search terms al gore flight canceled due to snow. Clearly these visitors are not in the alarmist category, and GORE LIED is proud to welcome them.

Popularity of search term "Al Gore" wanes on Google’s Insights for Search

By Editor Al Gore, Google Comments Off on Popularity of search term "Al Gore" wanes on Google’s Insights for Search

Much like the waning of global warming in the past ten years, according to Google’s Insight on Search, the popularity of the search term “Al Gore” has waned by approximately 80% since Gore’s two largest peaks (when Gore’s science-fiction movie, An Inconvenient Truth, won an Oscar, and also when he and the IPCC won the Nobel Peace Prize). If this trend continues it will be because the issue of anthropogenic global warming has ceased to become an issue in the minds of the public due to the continued utter failure of the alarmists’ climate models. If that becomes the case, as it increasingly appears, this blog may come to pass. So be it. The success of this blog shall not be judged by it’s longevity, it will be determined by whether or not Al Gore et al. are successful in hamstringing the world economy with their Luddite goals for society – and also by natural forces that are out of our control.
