Interviewer:
“What do you see as the tools, the next tools that you could try to utilize to try to create change?”
Pachauri:
“Children. I think we have sensitize the young, and tell them how their futures are going to be affected if you don’t take action today. And I think children are by and large very sensitive, and they understand. They know what’s at stake. And I think if we can get them to understand the seriousness of the problem, they will probably shame adults into taking the right steps.”
That speaks for itself.

Pol Pot the leader of the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia used children to spy and snitch on their parents. After awhile parents became terrified of their children. At the end of this regime, two millions of innocent Cambodians died from execution and starvation. My father was one of the executed.
Pauchari has crossed a dangerous line. He should abandon this practice at once. Let this practice die with Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge regime. I find this practice very disturbing.
Sojean,
I agree with you that “this practice [that Pachauri is advocating] is very disturbing”, however I don’t speak from such a personal experience as you.
Thank you for sharing your experience, and for reading the blog.
