I know it’s redundant, but these folks are serious.

He once approached Brock Evans, a pioneering force at the Audubon Society and the Sierra Club, and asked how Evans got all of it, or any of it, done.

“Endless pressure endlessly applied,” Evans replied. Houck pilfered the tagline and adopted the philosophy.

A good reminder of what we are up against.

Not really sure what the message is here. Al gore travelled a lot on airplanes, but what was he supposed to do? Walk/?

Sure he can walk, but with all of our computer/Internet tech available today, traveling the world via private jet to spread his word of impending climatic doom is not only unnecessary, it’s hypocritical. He can blog (and he does), he could e-mail (which he does), he could Tweet (which he hardly ever does), but to take the place of his jetting all over the world to give his slide show and his speeches there are other more “carbon friendly” options, i.e. he could do webinars or he could give speeches to far away places via streaming Internet video. More succinctly, he should lead by example. To do otherwise correctly opens himself up to charges of hypocrisy – and if that is the result he has only himself to blame.
