From director Shayne Edwards and award-winning radio host Phil Valentine, An Inconsistent Truth takes you along for the ride on one man’s quest for the truth. Many people believe in man-made global warming but they don’t know why. This is one of the most important issues of our day yet the average American knows so very little about what’s really going on. Is that by design? Who stands to make billions off cap-and-trade legislation? Why do those who raise their voices the loudest lead the most wasteful lifestyles? Is carbon dioxide really a pollutant or is it a harmless gas that’s essential to life here on Earth?
This movie is an entertaining, fact-filled odyssey that will have you thinking, cheering and laughing. Phil Valentine goes straight to the experts and so-called experts and demands to know the truth. And the truth just may change your life.
Join Phil as he climbs aboard Bennie the “BioBenz”, a car that runs on biodiesel that Phil makes from used vegetable oil. Phil talks with scientists and politicians and relentlessly pursues an audience with the poster boy of global warming, the man who brought the world An Inconvenient Truth – Al Gore. Phil takes the punches and throws a few himself. He sifts through all the data and hyperbole and distills it down to one easy to understand and fun-filled motion picture.
By EditorAIT Index, Al Gore, An Inconvenient TruthComments Off on Al Gore/AIT Index, Vol. 16: Globally-averaged temperatures have gone down .247°F/.137°C since An Inconvenient Truth was released
Each month GORE LIED takes significant liberties with Dr. Roy Spencer’s latest globally averaged satellite-based temperatures and marks up the good doctor’s graph with a marker to illustrate Al Gore’s personal inconvenient truth – that global temperatures have gone down, rather than up (as Al Gore and the IPCC predicted) since An Inconvenient Truth was released on January 24, 2006 at the Sundance Film Festival. The GORE LIED graphics department bought a new ironically green marker for this month’s task.
For the record, this month’s Al Gore / AIT Index indicates that global temperatures have gone down .247°F (.137°C) since An Inconvenient Truth was released.
By EditorAl Gore, sea level, videoComments Off on Deceived by Al Gore, teenager goes on climate crusade, and parrots Al Gore talking points: ‘…sea levels will rise over twenty feet’, blah, blah, blah.
It’s inspiring to see teenagers who are passionate about issues that they care about. However, it’s troubling to me when I see a kid parroting Al Gore’s deceptive talking points from his movie, An Inconvenient Truth, such as the kid in this video, Alec Loorz. But, I don’t blame Alec. I blame Al Gore.
Nobody is interested in solutions if they don’t think there’s a problem. Given that starting point, I believe it is appropriate to have an over-representation of factual presentations on how dangerous it is, as a predicate for opening up the audience to listen to what the solutions are….”
It could be that Alec is aware of Gore’s deceptive strategy, but I doubt it. Hopefully, Alec will read this, and find enough inspiration to take a second (and closer) look at the facts in the debate over this issue.
Each month GORE LIED takes significant liberties with Dr. Roy Spencer’s monthly UAH globally averaged satellite-based temperature of the lower atmosphere. We mark it up with a red marker to more fully illustrate the really inconvenient truth – that temperatures have not risen as Al Gore had predicted when he released his science fiction movie, An Inconvenient Truth (AIT) at the Sundance Film Festival on January 24, 2006.
Through June, 2009, globally averaged temperatures have largely flat-lined at +.08°F (.04°C) since AIT was released.
Here’s another way to interpret the same data:
In the 42 months since An Inconvenient Truth was released, globally averaged temperatures have been over what they were in January, 2006 in only five of those 42 months (including this month), but tellingly, the same temperatures have been below the globally averaged temperature in January, 2006 a total of 37 of those 42 months!
Even as the globally averaged temperatures have largely flat-lined as of this month’s latest data from Dr. Roy Spencer and Dr. John Christy, the divergence between the observed temperatures and the alarmist’s beloved computer models remains well below the IPCC’s most modest prediction.
By EditorAIT Index, Al Gore, An Inconvenient Truth, Joe RommComments Off on Joe Romm: ‘major study predicts rapid warming…nearly 0.3°F by 2014’. So what? That would make up less than half the temperature drop since An Inconvenient Truth was released
Climate alarmist extraordinaire, Joe Romm, reports:
Another major study predicts rapid warming over next few years – nearly 0.3°F by 2014
From 2009 to 2014, projected rises in anthropogenic influences and solar irradiance will increase global surface temperature 0.15 ±0.03 °C, at a rate 50% greater than predicted by IPCC.
And if Mr. Romm doesn’t understand the point made by the Al Gore/AIT Index, Vol. 14 above, I’ll explain further. If an approximately 4 1/2 year .3°F (.16°C) temperature rise is what Romm would call “rapid warming”, certainly a .74°F (.39°C) cooling trend in only 3 1/2 years (since An Inconvenient Truth was released on January 24, 2006 at the Sundance Film Festival) is certainly something to be alarmed about – if you’re an alarmist. I’m not.
Even if Romm is correct about the predicted warming, it would only serve to make the larger point that the temperatures go up, and then they go down, and so on, and so on, and so on, and so on.
